Advertising and sponsorship standards
Ohio Care Check is published by AvW Consulting sro and is designed to support clearly disclosed law-firm sponsorship without allowing advertisers to influence facility data or editorial conclusions.
How the site may be funded
The publisher may accept fixed-fee sponsorship or advertising from law firms and other approved organizations. A commercial relationship must be documented before placement. Paid content and calls to action must be visually labeled so a reader can distinguish advertising from CMS data, editorial guides, facility records and official government resources.
Separation from editorial content
Payment cannot change CMS data, facility ordering, ratings, inspection descriptions, county statistics, methodology or conclusions. Advertisers do not receive advance control over unfavorable public records. The publisher’s editorial team is responsible for data labels, corrections and consumer guidance.
Law-firm partner requirements
- Current authority to practice and counsel-approved Ohio advertising language.
- Written placement, geographic coverage, routing, retention and information-security terms.
- A clearly identified receiving law firm before any case-evaluation form is activated.
- Approved privacy notice and express consent for sharing submitted information.
- No guaranteed outcome, unsupported superlative, misleading comparison or implied government affiliation.
Lead forms and attorney relationships
A submission must not promise representation or create the impression that Ohio Care Check is a law firm. A lawyer-client relationship can arise only through the receiving lawyer’s separate process and agreement. Users must be told not to rely on a web submission to protect a deadline or handle an emergency.
Current status
AvW Consulting sro currently receives case-evaluation requests and may route a request to a licensed law firm for evaluation. No law firm is represented as having accepted a matter merely because a form was submitted. Any sponsored law firm placement will identify the firm and be labeled separately from editorial content and CMS data.
Questions and corrections
Advertising inquiries and concerns about labeling can be sent through the general contact form. The publisher will correct a material labeling or display error and will document significant changes to this policy.
